Government Women’s Polytechnic College, Thiruvananthapuram, established in 1961, is the only institution in the capital city exclusively focused on providing Diploma education for women. The Institute has a rich history of empowering women through quality technical education. The Institute currently offers three-year Diploma programs in four disciplines: Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, and Commercial Practice. In addition to these programs, we offer a specialized Diploma in Computer Engineering for Hearing Impaired students. The Institute also extends its educational services beyond regular Diploma programs to the unemployed youth and marginalised section of the society. Through the Continuing Education Cell, the Institute provide short-term courses aimed at skill enhancement, and offer a course in Apparel Fashion Designing in collaboration with the District Panchayath, Thiruvananthapuram.
